LUGGAGE CLAIM

In the U.S., passengers have the right to file a compensation claim with the airline if their checked luggage is damaged during air transport.

Below is a step-by-step guide for claiming compensation, applicable to both domestic U.S. flights and international flights operated by U.S. airlines:

STEP ONE - Inspect Your Luggage Immediately

After collecting your luggage, check for any damage right away.

If you find any, report it to the airline at the airport as soon as possible to ensure proper documentation.

STEP TWO - Report to the Airline’s Baggage Service Desk

Locate the airline’s baggage service desk at the airport and inform the staff about the damage.

Fill out a Damage Report as required.
